A collection of the teachings of yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar first published in 1976. The material for the book was gathered and compiled by Noelle Perez-Christiaens from class notes and correspondence during the formative years of Guruji's international career, from when he was first invited by Yehudi Menuhin to teach in Switzerland through the death of his wife in 1974 and the opening of the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune in 1975. This new edition includes the English text from the first edition, plus extracts from the journal Noelle kept during the times she studied one-on-one with Guruji in India.
