Regional Associations
If IYNAUS is the heart and mind of the US Iyengar community, then the Regional Associations are its organs of action. Each association is comprised of one or more states, has at least 50 members, and works to facilitate communication among students and teachers residing in the region. Regional associations support newsletters, websites, workshops and continuing education programs. The regions may also work to promote local teachers through sponsorship of annual conferences in years when there is no IYNAUS-sponsored national teacher convention. Both students and teachers are members of a regional association as well as participating members of the National Association (IYNAUS).
