Home Practice

Doing a home practice. It's a long time now, and practice has become my regular solace and challenge, and not so much a daily obsession as it once was. Being older and having physical problems is part of this change. One learns to be kind (thanks, Anna) to self (body and spirit) and to seek the practice that meets the needs of the now.

For beginners, I agree, just begin. And for the rest of us also, just begin. It does come. It becomes different. The gifts may be just what you need, and not what you thought you needed.

Whatever the day's (short or long, restorative or active) practice, my suggestion is to end not just with savasana, but also with gratitude, remembering that yoga is a gift to self, with a long history, that many teachers have brought us here to this day, this time on the mat. Namaste.
