Home Practice
My home practice developed after years of taking classes, with teachers that taught me to understand the poses and the benefits of each one of them.
Over time, I felt that in class I had to do what the teacher was teaching although it was not always what my body and/or mind needed. Eventually I realized that in my home practice I could attend to my own needs.
The beauty of practicing yoga at home is that all that I need is a place to put my mat and 3 blankets… no special room, no particular setup.
Some days my practice takes 2 hours, other days just 15 minutes of inversions, others 30 minutes of restorative and sometimes it's falling asleep in a restorative asana. I know that while starting any of them I will feel better after the practice.
